CompTIA Security+ Training
CompTIA Security+ at FAU Continuing Education brings the industry's baseline cybersecurity certification and the most-requested credential in entry-level security job postings to South Florida. Offered through Florida Atlantic University's partnership with Applied Technology Academy, the course is taught live — online or in the Boca Raton classroom — by ATA practitioner instructors who work in the field they teach.
The program develops core security concepts, threats and vulnerabilities, cryptography, identity and access management, and hands-on risk mitigation. It is built for SOC analyst, security administrator and cyber-defense roles — and it is DoD 8140 approved, and FAU Continuing Education students train alongside working professionals from across South Florida's technology and defense employers.
